Who doesn't enjoy a relaxing walk on the beach?
Sandy beaches.
Florida beaches may be warmer but I find the beaches on the Oregon coast to be more interesting. Rocky tree lined cliffs, sand that's not blindingly white, color variations in the sand, interresting rocks to pickup. I have never heard of anyone having a bad luck spree for taking rocks home from one of our beaches as in Hawaii.

Agates can be found as the tide changes and the wave action uncovers and washes the sand around. The sand is constantly moving around and sometimes will drift away to uncover rocks that have been buried for quite some time.
Short hike with stunning views.
A short hike from Road's End in North Lincoln City threw some old growth trees and over a hill or two gives you a fantastic view of the Salmon river as it drains into the Pacific. Nice vantage point to see the ocean and the cliffs.
